Independent Life Skills in an Authentic Home Environment

Solving the Puzzle

The Puzzle was set up as an alternative to uninspiring special needs day care environments. After listening to what people really wanted we decided to set up something more interesting and true to life. Learn independent living skills in a working family home with pets and a garden.

We can help you join up all the pieces that make up life skills and solve the puzzle of independent living.

We take no more than five guests at any one time and offer a safe and intimate experience for anyone over 18 wishing to work towards a more independent life.

Daily fee includes all learning materials, lunch & drinks.

Welcome to our home in Leighton Buzzard, and to your local life skills day centre

Who Are We?

My name is Mo. I’m the manager of The Puzzle. My life’s career has been devoted to care. I have extensive experience of caring for the elderly, people with brain injuries, autism, and all types of special needs. My philosophy is to treat everybody with kindness & respect, and to build up people’s independence as much as possible.

I’m Chris and I’m co-owner and administrator for The Puzzle. I also have a lot of experience in care: with people with special needs, autism and emotional & behavioural difficulties. My passion is helping people become as independent as they can be, through a combination of fun and learning.
